True wellness cannot be achieved without a sense of wholeness, yet mental health challenges can result in a life that feels fractured and/or compartmentalized. As a therapist, I seek to engage the whole person in therapy. I connect with every client as a human being, not just a diagnosis, and utilize a strengths-based approach. I establish treatment modalities via a collaborative effort that recognizes clients as the experts of their own lives while leveraging my knowledge and skills as a therapist to create sustainable change.
For over a decade, I've worked with people of all ages in a variety of settings, including couples and group therapy. I earned a Master’s of Science in Social Work at Columbia University, concentrating on advanced clinical practice. I've completed additional training in DBT (through Behavioral Tech Institute), trauma-focused CBT, and equine-assisted therapy.
My approach to therapy is empathetic yet direct, and I build the therapeutic work on a genuine personal connection. Past and current clients have expressed appreciation for my warm but candid style, characterized by positive regard and respect for client autonomy. I like to say - life is hard enough; why do it alone? Contact me today to get started!
